Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

I received my PhD in 2018 in Geography from Laurier and my MASc in 2004 in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto. Prior to joining Laurier I worked as a knowledgeable mobilization specialist in support of northern research with Global Water Futures, and have worked for environmental and sustainability organizations as well as a water process engineer.
I have established an extensive research program with Indigenous communities and government partners in the NWT to address issues of climate change, sustainability, and food security.
I often have graduate student opportunities for interested students. Please contact me.
