Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

I was born in Taiwan, yet music has taken me on a journey that passes through places like New York, Chicago, Montreal and now Waterloo Region! Every place in my past has nurtured me with education and performance opportunities that make me capable of passing my experiences to my students.
As a musician and performer, I am equally passionate in both orchestral and chamber music. Besides my orchestral experience as a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and now second Associate Concertmaster of Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, I very often perform in chamber music series in Canada.
My constant participation in auditions and competitions in the past has helped me create my own practice method. I would love to share my experiences with any students who wish improve their technique!
If the student is looking for a teacher who is commutative and open minded, I am definitely a good choice! As a teacher for many years, it has always been my priority to teach students how to think critically about their own playing. Whether music will become their profession in the future, I always wish it will become a great tool in their life in every aspect!
