I’m a pianist and singer with over two decades of experience in performance, opera, and post-secondary music education. I currently serve on the faculty of Wilfrid Laurier University as a Voice and Opera Coach and am a long-standing instructor and collaborative pianist at York University’s School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design.
Holding Master of Music degrees in both Collaborative Piano and Voice Performance from the University of Toronto, I bring a dual perspective to my work, blending refined pianistic skill with deep vocal insight. I’ve also completed advanced training at esteemed programs including the Canadian Opera Company’s Ensemble Studio, the Mozarteum Masterclasses in Salzburg, and the Centro Studi Opera Festival in Italy.
As a performer, I’ve collaborated with artists across Canada and internationally, appearing in recital with singers such as Catherine Robbin and Ken Lavigne. Professional credits include work with the Canadian Opera Company as a chorister since 2001, as well as appearances on CBC Radio-Canada and Bravo! television.
In addition to my academic and performing career, I’m active as a music director in the faith community, most recently at Doon Presbyterian Church in Kitchener. I regularly adjudicate for music festivals and competitions, such as the ORMTA Piano and Voice competition and the Halton Hills Festival. I’ve also acted as Official Accompanist at countless NATS competitions.
I love teaching at Wilfrid Laurier University because of its close-knit community and deeply supportive environment. It’s a place where collaboration thrives, and I feel privileged to encourage musicians at every stage of their journey as they discover their own unique way of communicating and connecting with an audience. Exploring repertoire together is a joyful experience—one that is as much about shared discovery as it is about skill-building. Performing alongside student musicians is particularly rewarding, as I often find myself learning just as much from our musical exchanges as they learn from me.
