Artshine for ages 5 - 7: Magic, Wizards, and Monsters

  • Date: July 6 - 10, 2020

Magic, Wizards, and Monsters, OH MY! This week will encourage the students to use their imaginations when creating works of art that derive from fantasy. Using fun mediums like paint, glitter, and gems, students will use core drawing techniques to create fun projects like glitter unicorns and vibrant coloured dragons. Materials are included.

Artshine for ages 5 - 7: Under Water Fantasy

  • Date: July 20 - 24, 2020
  • Time: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Cost: $130

This week's theme focuses on exploring our oceans and under water creatures! Students will be introduced to exciting mediums like glow paint to add a little extra fun to their oceanic creations. Students will also get to show off their creative imaginations by creating a treasure map with a treasure hunt to follow. Materials are included.

Artshine for ages 7 - 10: Classic Art with a Modern Twist 

  • Date: July 20 - 24, 2020
  • Time: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Cost: $130

Students will be introduced to famous paintings seen throughout the eras and how they have shaped the history of art. While creating modern versions of these classical pieces, students will learn how to apply fundamental drawing techniques in a contemporary way. Materials are included.

Music Mania

  • Ages: 5 – 7
  • Dates: July 6 - 10, 2020 or July 20 - 24, 2020
  • Time: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Cost: $130
  • Instructors: Nichole Robertson and Kevin Lee

Discover and explore the world of music with daily piano activities, games, crafts, singing, guest artists and more! This is a great introduction to the world of keyboard instruments and an introduction to guitar, clarinet, cello, and organ. A perfect camp for children with limited or no musical experience.

For a full-day experience with lunchtime supervision combine a half-day of Artshine with Music Mania. Get both camps for a discounted rate of $240.

Music Explorers

A chance to further explore the world of music through piano lessons, music theory classes, singing in a choir, a composer series, music inspired games, crafts and technology. This is the perfect camp for children wishing to continue their music education. Materials are included.

Music and Drama Magic

Discover the magical world of drama and song as we create and perform a musical in just five days! Acting, singing, prop and costume-making are all part of the fun. Materials are included.

Beckett Winds Chamber Music Camp

  • Ages: 12 - 18
  • Dates: July 12 - 17, 2020
  • Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Cost: $260

Woodwind and brass students are invited to experience the joys of playing chamber music to help develop musical skills, discipline, leadership, self-confidence, creativity and a sense of community. During the course of the Beckett Winds Music Camp, students will be placed in groups of similar levels of playing ability. Daily activities include chamber group rehearsals, coaching sessions with professional faculty, masterclasses, and musicianship activities. The week will culminate with a recital for family and friends. Eligible participants must have one year of experience with a school music program or private lessons. 

Creating Harmony with Nature
