Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Beckett School at Laurier students found success and enjoyment participating in this year's Ontario Music Festivals Association (OMFA)'s Virtual Provincial competitions. Students were required to submit their entries via YouTube, and were judged on a variety of factors.
Of piano teacher, Rebekah Jordan-Miller's students; Annie Denau won first overall for grade 7 piano. Timothy Denau (grade 4), Angelina Garabetian (grade 3), Grace Leahy (Diploma), were all awarded honourable mention.
Of cello teacher, Mark Norris' students; Ethan Hyo Jeon came in first place for grade 10 lower strings.
A Piano Enrichment Performance Program (PEPP) student also won first in her class for grade 8 piano, and another received honourable mention for grade 7 piano.
Amazing work by our Beckett School at Laurier students!
