Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

I started violin at the age of seven in Hong Kong and moved to Michigan to attend Interlochen Arts Academy at age eleven. I received my Bachelor of Music, Graduate Performance diploma at the John Hopkins' Peabody Conservatory of Music and my Master of Music at the McGill Schulich School of Music. I have had the privilege to study with Dennis Kim, Felicia Moye, Violaine Melancon and Denise Lupien.
As an orchestral musician, I have played as a substitute for many orchestras in North America such as the Lancaster Symphony, Mid-Atlantic Symphony and McGill Chamber Orchestra. Last year I was with the Thunder Bay Symphony and I recently joined the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra.
I enjoy teaching music to students of all ages. It gives me great satisfaction when I see my students improve and embody music into their daily lives! My goal is to inspire my students and help them maximize their potential.
