Print | PDFI was introduced to the cello halfway through grade 7 and enjoyed learning cello at a fast pace. By grade 9, my teachers reported that my cello playing was quickly progressing and invited me to consider taking private lessons. I had several lessons with Lucas Tenson before enrolling in the Laurier String Academy where I began to study with Dr. Katie Schlaikjer. I'm now in my third year at Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU) continuing my studies with Dr. Schlaikjer and the Penderecki String Quartet. In early 2023, I was one of the winners of the WLU Concerto Competition and I'm excited about my upcoming opportunity to play with the Laurier Orchestra as a soloist, but I equally enjoy playing chamber music with my school quartet. Making music with fellow musicians is my life's passion as I love the way music makes me feel and seeing how music impacts the audience.
