Print | PDFAnna is a third year Music Education student studying viola under Christine Vlajk. While viola and violin are her main instruments, she also plays piano, mandolin, guitar, and six-string viola. Anna is an avid fiddler and composer, playing with country artists and folk musicians from across Canada, and writing her own music. She recently travelled to Winnipeg to compete in the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Championships, where she won the Ward Allen Memorial Best Old-Time Waltz award. Anna is honoured to have been selected as one of the 2022 Wilfrid Laurier Concerto Competition winners and looks forward to playing the second movement of Willian Walton’s Viola Concerto with the Laurier Symphony Orchestra. When she is not playing music, Anna enjoys exploring the outdoors and developing her passion for photography.
