Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Are you looking for a unique opportunity for course credit? Are you passionate about a certain issue or idea and wish to discover more? If so, apply for an Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship! Under faculty mentorship, you'll spend two terms conducting original research and presenting your results at the Academic, Creative and Engaged Research Showcase (ACERS) held in March. The apprenticeship will replace a 0.5 credit course and up to $1000 in research funds is available for your project. It is possible to work in team of up to three students, at the discretion of your faculty mentor.

Past research apprenticeships have had their work published in scholarly journals, presented their research at national and international conferences, and won nation scholarships!

Please follow the steps below to complete your application. The application form must be completed with your faculty mentor. Fall/winter apprenticeship applications are due August 1 and spring/fall apprenticeship applications are due April 1.
