Rhonda Hewer holds a Master of Education obtained through Wilfrid Laurier University's Faculty of Education. Prior to joining Laurier, she was an educator with the Waterloo Region District School Board for over 18 years, with a passion for supporting all students in developing mathematical proficiency. She began her career as a Grade 7 and 8 STEM teacher, and moved into a central role as a mathematics Learning and Development Consultant. She is the past president of the Ontario Mathematics Coordinators Association. Her love of math education has brought opportunities to present internationally at several mathematics conferences.
