I am a retired elementary school principal with the Wellington Catholic District School Board. I was employed with the Board for 39 years. Over those years, I experienced teaching both at the elementary and high school levels. My experience is predominately at the elementary level, teaching within the primary, junior and intermediate divisions. During my career, I was also the Special Education Resource Teacher at St. Patrick Catholic Elementary School and St. James Catholic High School. At one point, I was hired to be the Board’s Religious Education System Teacher.
I received my Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Toronto and my Masters of Education degree at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE).
I have held various positions with our local teaching federation, the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA), including president. I also served as an executive member (treasurer) of Wellington’s Catholic Principal’s Council of Ontario.
As the co-founder of Project Haiti, in Guelph, my interest and focus for many years has been to provide funds for Hope Hospital for Children in Port-au-Prince and assist children living in Haitian orphanages and attending elementary school.
