Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

LEAP campers are gifted, highly able children and youth (grades 1-10), who are looking for a camp experience that piques their curiosity and employs innovative and creative approaches to learning.

Camps are led by certified teachers and are focused around a specific theme directed at the interests of the different age groups. This experience will give you an opportunity to work with campers and teachers in a fun environment with interesting and exciting programs.

Camps are held at our Waterloo campus, in the Bricker Academic Building. We are seeking volunteers ages 15 or older who are available July 3-7 and/or July 10-14. For secondary school students, these hours can be used towards the Secondary School Community Involvement requirement. If you are unable to attend all of these days, we are happy to make arrangements for you to participate part-time. If you are not 18 years of age or older, you must also submit a LEAP Volunteer: Parent/Guardian Permission Form. The email you provide will be used for future correspondence.
