I received my PhD in Spanish and Portuguese from Yale University in 2010. I received my MA in Études hispaniques from the Université de Montréal in 2004.
Prior to joining Laurier in 2013, I was visiting assistant professor of Spanish at St. Lawrence University (N.Y., U.S.A.) from 2010 to 2013.
I am currently working on a book manuscript on the reception of the Enlightenment in Latin American intellectual history and literature.
I have supervised independent studies and honours projects on Spanish literature, Spanish cinema, Latin American literature and ecocriticism.
