I received a BA in Anthropology (Archaeology) and Syro-Palestinian Studies from the University of Toronto in 1989. I earned my PhD in Hebrew Bible and Archaeology from Harvard University in 1999. My dissertation examined the animal remains from the Achaemenid Persian Period at the archaeological site of Tel Ashkelon, Israel.
In addition to my positions at Laurier, I am a Research Associate in the Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations department at the University of Toronto and the Senior Zooarchaeologist for their excavations at Tell Tayinat, Turkey.
