Look into Laurier

Join us at Laurier

Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

You’re here to learn, and we’re here to help you succeed. Having trouble writing an essay? Taking notes? Choosing classes? Don’t be shy. Ask for help – we’re happy to give it!

Academic Support and Advising

Our Centre for Student Success (CSS) supports and enhances your academic experiences at Laurier. These services include intercultural development, academic accommodations, and assistance with learning, mathematics, study skills, and writing development. Most of these services are delivered in small groups and individual consultation settings and are designed to encourage the sharing of ideas and peer learning.

Laurier has a number of academic advising options to help you navigate the postsecondary school system. Undergraduate program advisors, whom you can contact through your program, can help you with course selection, transfer information, graduate options and more. Faculty academic advisors offer general academic advising and support students in general BA/BSc degrees without designation, petitions and clearing probation.

Accessible Learning at Laurier

Our Accessible Learning Centre helps students with documented disabilities reach their full academic potential. The centre provides tutoring assistance, learning strategy and assistive technology support, exam accommodation and alternate-format course materials.

Money and Registration Matters

Our Service Laurier offices on both the Waterloo and Brantford campuses are your one-stop shop for all enrolment services, including course registration, financial aid, and scholarships and bursaries.

Cooperative Education and Career Development

Our Career Centre has all the information you need about figuring out your career goals and getting a job – both before and after you graduate. Visit our Cooperative Education website for information about applying to co-op.

Laurier International

Whether you’re an international or a Canadian student, Laurier International can enhance your international and intercultural skills. Laurier International also manages academic exchanges and other opportunities to travel abroad, such as internships, volunteering, field courses and more.

Part-Time and Continuing Education

Our Part-Time Studies and Continuing Education office can give you all the info you need about completing a degree part-time, or taking non-credit courses and certificates.

Online Learning
