Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

As outlined in the call for nominations, Wilfrid Laurier University seeks individuals to serve on the Board of Governors who combine proven strategic leadership with a passion for Laurier, and who have demonstrated organizational and community involvement and the professional skills/expertise identified as priorities for the Board.

Board members are volunteers who contribute time, wisdom and oversight to Laurier, with a legal fiduciary duty to the good of the institution and its future. They assess sensitive, confidential matters and help university leaders navigate challenging issues. Serving on Laurier’s Board is a significant contribution to an institution devoted to inspiring lives of leadership and purpose.

If you are interested in serving on the Board of Governors, we invite you to provide the following information for confidential consideration by the Nominations Committee.
