Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Sarah Martiniello (BA '17)

"Courses combine learning in the classroom with real-world experience through a Community Service-Learning placement. These were my favourite courses and my favourite part of the program. Having the chance to experience in real life what I was learning in the classroom, for three different courses, was one of the highlights of my Laurier experience. This program is a comprehensive degree, meaning that you can learn about a wide variety of subtopics within the discipline. If you’re excited to study everything from biopsychology to statistics, this program is for you!"

Colin Newstead (BA '18)

"I enjoyed the broad range of classes which allowed me to develop my interests in subjects I would not have normally enjoyed. And the Forensic Psychology stream consistently engaged and challenged me in the best possible way! Dr. Judy Eaton provided me with constant support and opportunities that led me to my greatest university memories. Laurier will forever be my home!"

Emily Struthers (BA '15, MA '17)

"While studying at the Brantford campus, I got to know all of my professors personally. I really enjoyed how approachable and friendly my professors were, if I had a question or just wanted to say hi, all I had to do was stop by the Psychology department and I knew someone would be around.

"I really enjoyed the small class sizes and the opportunity to explore topics that interested me. I completed a research project and felt so supported to pursue my interests.

"I would recommend this program to anyone who is willing to take initiative in their undergrad. Psychology can be boring if you'd let it be, but it can be so rewarding if you take the time to get to know your professors, volunteer and explore fields that interest you."
