Co-op for Business and Computer Science Students

Participants in the double degree program in Business Administration (BBA) and Computer Science (BSc) develop the technical know-how in database and Internet computing to go along with analytical skills and business expertise.

How Co-op Works

This double-degree co-op program gives you the opportunity to develop skills and gain hands-on experience while completing three paid work terms lasting up to four months each.

You will enrol in co-op in your second year. You will get assistance with career planning, job search and interview preparation through the Fundamentals of Co-operative Education course. You will then apply to job postings and attend interviews

You will begin your first four-month work term after your second year.

  • Software Engineer, Manulife Financial, Waterloo – Verify functionality, create a migration tool, fix defects in a mobile application.
  • Funding Administration Co-op, Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, Toronto – Perform financial analysis on grant applications.
