PhD in Management, Marketing
The program fit well with the other commitments I have (re: family, work, community involvement) and because of its geographic proximity to Toronto and the program structure. In many ways though, my involvement was serendipitous in that I was not aware of the program until my son enrolled in the dual degree program at Laurier and I went on line to see what that program was about.
Then I discovered there is a PhD opportunity at Laurier. My final decision was driven largely by the interactions I had with Nicole Coviello and the positive impression she had on me. Incredible faculty, collegiality, and lively discourse. The new building adds a touch of class as well.
How do differences in decision logics influence the entrepreneurial process and the networking that underpins entrepreneurial endeavours? The question is of interest because:
I envision a career in academics with a good balance between research and teaching. I am drawn to such a career by my interest in continuing to learn and love for teaching.
