Earn Your MBA Part-Time During the Evenings

The part-time evenings Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is designed for working professionals who want to earn their MBA while maintaining their full-time job. Earning your MBA while you continue to work provides you with the opportunity to immediately apply the knowledge you gain in the program to issues facing you daily in your workplace.

Classes are held at the Laurier Waterloo campus twice a week in the evening so you can balance work, home and school-life. Although the program is designed to be completed in 3.3 years our flexible class schedules allow you to graduate as quickly as 2.3 years – or extend your studies up to 5 years.

You will have the option within your elective terms to specialize your general MBA degree. The Lazaridis MBA offers nine specialization options for you to customize your studies to align with your career path.

Admission Requirements

Domestic Applicants

  • A four-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent, in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum B standing (73%) in the final year of study, or most recent 10 half-credit university degree courses.
  • Evidence of strong quantitative skills, normally by the successful completion of the GMAT test with a score of 550 or higher. We also accept a GRE score. A GRE score must convert to the minimum 550 GMAT score required. We will also accept a CFA Level 1 Pass.
  • Three professional references, or if you have completed any education within the last three years, two professional references and one academic reference are required.
  • Applicants whose language of instruction during their undergraduate degree was a language other than English, must furnish evidence of proficiency in English prior to admission. A minimum score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) of 100 internet-based (iBT) (with minimum skill scores of 21 in each of the four skill sets), or TOEFL paper-based (pBT) minimum score of 600, or a minimum score of 7.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required.
  • A minimum of two years of full-time work experience.

International Applicants

All international applicants are invited to apply to our Full-Time MBA degree and/or Full-time MBA with Co-op degree. Please note that Canadian Student Visas are only eligible for the one year Full-time MBA degree and/or the Full-time MBA with Co-op degree.
