Service Laurier has launched a free self-serve process for students who require confirmation of their status of enrolment at Laurier. Students can now generate a Verification of Enrolment record on LORIS to be used for proof of their enrolment.
Previously, students were required to fill out an “Outside Agency” form, which would then be sent through mail or fax to the requested business with a nominal fee.
With this new service, students can now access the form by logging into their LORIS account, clicking “Student Services” and selecting “Verification of Enrolment (VOE).” Students can then select the term of their registration to produce a printable form on Laurier letterhead with the required information, such as status, program and course summary. The Verification of Enrolment form meets all requirements for RESP release, insurance and bank loans.
"The on-demand, real-time Verification of Enrolment is a perfect example of our commitment to improving self-service options for students,” said Scott Harris, associate registrar: Student Records and Services. “It provides not only the information they need with the click of a button, but results in cost savings for many of our students."
Service Laurier hopes that this new process will provide a simpler, faster and more affordable option for students looking for this information.
