Join us at Laurier

Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Your first year at university is a time of tremendous change and growth. Chances are you’ll be moving away from home and responsible for your own choices for the first time. You’ll be meeting new people and introduced to new ideas. And you’ll be studying and learning in ways completely different from what you’ve already experienced.

It’s an exciting time, but it can also be overwhelming. We offer programs that will aid in your transition from high school to your first year of university.

Get a Headstart

The Headstart program is an introduction to life and learning at Laurier that is offered in both Waterloo and Brantford. An online program is offered for international students.

Incoming students for January 2018

For students who are beginning their studies at Laurier in January 2018, we hosted an online webinar on Dec. 14. If you were unable to watch the presentation, you can download a copy from our Laurier @Home webinar website.

Accessible Learning Support

Transition 101 is designed to introduce students with documented disabilities to support services offered at Laurier.

Math Preparation

TriAGe will help prepare students who plan to enrol in an entry-level university calculus course by reinforcing fundamental skills in Trigonometry, Algebra and Geometry.
