Join us at Laurier

Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Campus Ambassador
Third-Year Business Administration
Markham, ON

Hello future Golden Hawks!

My name is Emily Robertson and I am currently in my third year of the Bachelor of Business Administration program with the co-op option. A couple years ago I was in the same position as you, contemplating how I was going to decide where I was going to call home for the next four years of my life. After taking a campus tour at Laurier, I instantly knew Laurier was the right choice for me!

As soon as you step on campus, you will notice Laurier’s tight-knit community feel. Laurier is a culture that fosters passionate leaders and provides endless opportunities to get involved. Taking that leap of faith and getting involved throughout my time at Laurier has created lasting friendships that I will never forget and has truly made my university experience.

Within my first year, I was the community representative for my Residence House Council which provided me an opportunity to meet and interact with other students in my residence building. As an executive and director on The Link Business Club, I have gained a network of like-minded individuals who also have an interest in pursuing business and building their professional development. The most rewarding experience I have been part of at Laurier has been volunteering as an Orientation Week leader to help integrate first-year students into the Laurier community. With these inspiring, energetic leaders, you will be in great hands!

As you can see there is something for everyone here at Laurier! I am more than excited to take you on a campus tour and show you around my home, a place you can call home too!
