Join us at Laurier

Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Campus Ambassador
Fifth-Year Sociology
Burlington, ON

Hey! My name is Dana Montgomery, and I am in my fifth year of the honours Bachelor of Arts program in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. This year, I have the absolute pleasure of being one of the Campus Ambassador Coordinators. The campus tour program here at Laurier is second to none – we are able to show our entire campus and really give visiting students the feel of what it’s like to be a Golden Hawk!

When I went on my first campus tour of Laurier, I was instantly drawn in by its community feel and overall closeness. Right then and there, I knew this is where I wanted to have my undergraduate experience. There are so many amazing things Laurier has to offer, from an inviting campus feel to academic excellence, to lots of amazing opportunities in between. I have been fortunate enough to be a part of some exciting extracurricular activities during my time here.

I have met lifelong friends by getting involved as a floor representative in House Council during my first year in residence, as a campaign member of the Students’ Union Elections, playing on an intramural hockey team, by being a part of a life changing campaign called 5 Days for the Homeless, and of course, through my work in Recruitment and Admissions as a campus ambassador. The volunteer and work culture here at Laurier is truly special, and it makes for a well-rounded university experience.

I am so excited for you all to check out our amazing campus and all it has to offer you!
