Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

My Favourite Quote:

"We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us." – Joseph Campbell

Three Facts About Me:

  • I am completing a double minor in both Leadership and Youth and Children’s Studies
  • I am a diehard football fan, I go to about 15 CFL games a year!
  • I like to be involved in my community, whether it be in my hometown or at school. I enjoy volunteering my time to make a difference in the city!

Why Did You Choose Laurier?

I chose Laurier Brantford because of the community aspect I felt when I stepped on campus. Walking throughout buildings I saw students studying together and diving into conversations, everyone seemed to be so friendly! Being a smaller campus, it is extremely easy to find your place and get connected with fellow students and professors.

Involvement on Campus:

  • General Volunteer on EcoHawks
  • Homework Help Volunteer for Laurier Students for Literacy
  • General Volunteer for Shinerama

Three Favourite Courses that I Have Taken at Laurier:

  • The Democratic Imagination
  • Organizational Leadership
  • Children, Numeracy, & Society
