Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

My Favourite Quote:

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them." – Mother Theresa

Three Facts About Me:

  • I love my friends and family a lot
  • I have ADHD and Synaesthesia so my senses are ‘mixed up’ sometimes. Laurier’s accessible learning services accommodate me to allow me to learn in the best environment for me
  • I was home schooled when I was in elementary school

Why Did You Choose Laurier?

I chose Laurier because of the small class sizes. With the staff to student ratio being 1:25 it is easy to get to know professors and take part in leadership opportunities. This is important to me because I would like to get my masters in counselling after completing my undergraduate program here.

Involvement on Campus:

  • Recruitment and Admissions
  • Orientation Week
  • Instructing Yoga
  • Youth Leaders on Board
  • Intramurals
  • Peer Connect
  • Food Bank
  • LOCUS Don

Three Favourite Courses that I Have Taken at Laurier:

  • Human Behaviour and Environment
  • Social Psychology
  • Practice with Groups
