Laurier is making daily decisions and service adjustments to contain the spread of COVID-19. Our goal is to keep the Laurier community informed of these updates in a timely and accurate manner. Visit the wlu.ca/coronavirus website for the latest information and the Remote Learning Student Hub site for academic, mental health and social supports.
We’re collecting stories of sharing, helping and kindness submitted by members of university community. Read how a local restaurant treated Brantford campus Student Wellness Centre employees to lunch to recognize their work supporting students. Share your stories by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or tag Laurier in your social media posts.
June 2 key updates:
You Ask. We Answer.: The university recognizes that students have many questions regarding the fall term. On June 17 we will host two virtual events to answer some of your most frequently asked questions. The Progressing Undergraduate Student Session (for second year and up) will take place at 10 a.m., and the Graduate Student Session will take place at 1 p.m. Please mark your calendars and watch your inbox for the official invitation and registration. Please note: These events will take place on Zoom. If you have not yet activated your Laurier Zoom account, please do so.
Frequently asked questions: Please visit the FAQs for current students for Fall Term 2020 for current information, which includes links to FAQs for current graduate students and FAQs for international students as well as other student groups. Further details and answers to more questions will be shared as soon as they are confirmed.
Learned something new while staying home? Share it with the Laurier community: To help keep the Wilfrid Laurier University community connected, the Centre for Off-Campus Initiatives and Laurier Alumni have teamed up to launch the “Learn Something New” campaign to encourage students, staff, faculty and alumni to document a hobby, talent or activity in a video. Submitted videos will be shared with the Laurier community, allowing others to learn new skills, discover new hobbies and try new activities in an online setting.
Option to Convert Winter 2020 Grades to Credit or Withdrawal: The CR/WD grade selection form is available to students for Winter 2020 grades until June 3 at 4:30 p.m. More details about the selection process are posted to the enrolment services website. For more information, read the FAQs and the original CR/WD notice.
