August 25 key updates:
Information to come: The Pandemic Recovery Steering Group is reviewing and developing a number of protocols to ensure the health and safety of the Laurier community, including determining building access and procedures as well as specific safety protocols for students. The university is also assessing its approach to the winter term. This information will be communicated to students as soon as it is available. For ongoing updates, please visit wlu.ca/recovery
FAQs for Incoming Graduate Students: The Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (FGPS) has shared updated FAQs on the student website with information deadlines, submission of official documents and information from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for international students as it relates to documentation requirements and eligibility for the postgraduate work permit program.
Residence and move-in: Living on campus is going to look different for first-year students who choose to live in residence this year, but the Department of Residence has been working hard to make sure students have a safe – and amazing - experience. Residence move-in will take place over several days from Sept. 5 to 9 with multiple two-hour timeslots on each move-in day to ensure the health and safety of our residence students and staff while adhering to provincial and public health guidelines. Each residence student will be permitted to have one person enter their residence building to assist with the move-in process. Students and their helpers will wear a non-medical mask or face covering and will take the Ontario Self-Assessment Survey prior to arrival. Full move-in and residence details and protocols have been shared directly with first-year residence students. For more information, email email@example.com (Waterloo) or firstname.lastname@example.org
