Join us at Laurier

Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Our Community

With more than 100 years of history in Waterloo Region and 15 years in the City of Brantford, Laurier thrives on the relationships and partnerships built for the betterment of these communities. We strive to enrich existing bonds and to create new links while inspiring lives of leadership and purpose.

For a full listing of upcoming events, visit our events calendar. If you are interested in hosting your event at Laurier’s Brantford Campus, please complete the Community Room Booking Request Form and we will find a space to suit your needs.

I'm an Employer

How can my organization work with Laurier students and alumni?

  • Visit our Employers and Community Partners webpage for information on how you can recruit top talent.
  • If you’re looking for volunteers for your organization, you can connect with our Community Service-Learning office, which integrates meaningful community service with classroom instruction to both enrich students’ learning experiences and strengthen communities.

Career Help

  • Whether you’ve just entered the workforce or earned your degree decades ago, Laurier’s Career Development Centre is ready to help you with your career planning. Take advantage of career fairs, workshops and individual career counseling. You can also register for the Alumni Employment Service, which will email job listings tailored to your skills from companies seeking qualified Laurier alumni.
  • Pass your success to others. Remember when you left Laurier for the real world? You had to build a network, find that first job and figure out how to make it on your own. Now’s your chance to pass on the lessons you’ve learned to students who are following the same path. Join the Alumni Sharing Knowledge program and help a student with career advice, interview tips or guidance.

Give Back

  • As alumni, you know first-hand the power of the Laurier experience — the sense of community, the care we have for the world around us and the education that challenges students to apply what they learn in the real world. Make sure this same experience is available for future students. Donate today to support the scholarships, teaching, facilities and more.

Duplicate Degrees

  • Do you need another copy of your degree/diploma, whether because of loss, damage, name change, or because you're applying to a job or educational program that's demanding an official copy? You can get one by filling out the Duplicate or Replacement Degree form, paying the $35 fee and submitting it to Enrolment Services.
