Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

At the end of April 2017 faculty and staff will be moving out of the seminary building, which was dedicated in 1963, so that work crews can begin the construction phase of our $9-million renewal and modernization plan.

The project focuses on upgrading building systems and technology, and reconfiguring internal spaces mostly within the current footprint, including:

  • a new entrance facing Bricker Avenue
  • seven state-of-the-art classrooms
  • gathering commons area
  • community room
  • multifaith room to include ablution facilities
  • worship arts centre
  • community pastor office
  • renewed courtyard
  • lobby and welcome centre
  • energy efficient design

  • April 2017: Faculty and staff vacate the seminary and move into temporary offices.
  • May 1, 2017: Construction crews begin renewal and modernization of the seminary building.
  • Summer 2018: Faculty and staff move back into the seminary building.
  • September 2018: First classes in the renewed building begin.

But in the Meantime...


In-class courses will be conducted on Laurier’s Waterloo campus. Room details will be included on your timetables.

Faculty and Staff Offices

Seminary faculty and business offices will be located at 190 Lester St. above the Beckett School at Laurier, about two blocks from the seminary.

Note: Please continue to mail correspondence or ship packages to our mailing address which remains 75 University Ave. W., Waterloo, Ont., N2L 3C5.


Seminary office hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


Seminary parking lots will not be available during construction. Short-term parking may be available on Lester St., but it is often limited. Visit the parking webpage for other nearby parking options.


We will not be able to host our public events at the seminary during construction. We will be choosing the venues for specific events as they are planned, and will include parking options in our event publicity. Unfortunately our temporary offices are located in a building that is not accessible. Visitors who have physical challenges are encouraged to contact our office to arrange an alternate meeting location.
