Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

L-SPARK, Canada’s only SaaS (software as a service) accelerator, is once again going across the country searching for enterprise SaaS startups to join their Foundation Accelerator. The Lazaridis Institute is excited to host L-SPARK and local SaaS startups and entrepreneurs for the Waterloo leg of the SaaSRoadshow on Nov. 14 in Lazaridis Hall.

The L-SPARK Foundation Accelerator is designed for SaaS companies disrupting a rapidly growing market with their product and who want to get on the path to scalability and growth. These SaaS startups want to establish a go-to-market fit, define their value proposition, capture early adopters, accelerate revenue through early customer acquisitions and start building necessary metrics, including growth, churn and pricing.

L-SPARK’s Executive Director Patrick White will give a Lunch N Learn from noon - 1 p.m. in LH4096. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for those interested to book some time to chat with him one-on-one. In the evening, you can catch him again at the HackerNest Tech Social happening from 7 p.m. -11 p.m. at Shopify.

L-SPARK provides one-on-one mentorship, intensive SaaS workshops with successful entrepreneurs and has a network made up of leading SaaS executives and corporate partners like Amazon, Microsoft and Mitel. During the Foundation Accelerator program, founders are matched with an ‘embedded executive’ who enables them to best leverage investor pitch meetings and execute on a custom plan – this is definitely not a cookie cutter curriculum.

Other stops on the SaaSRoadshow include Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax and Fredericton.
