Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

I received my PhD and MSc in Mathematics from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1991 and 1988.
Prior to joining Laurier, I was a professor at the Institute of Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (1999-2013), and an associate professor at the same institute (1994-1999).
The main focus of my research is Lle algebra, representation theory, division algebra, and linear algebra.
I have research assistantships opportunities for graduate students interested in algebra. Contact me for more information. I am willing to supervise graduate students in the areas of algebra.
