I am active as a piano teacher, accompanist, adjudicator/RCM examiner, workshop clinician and am a member of the American College of Music Judges.
I have a strong interest in new music, world music, dance and drama and have staged recitals of the music of John Cage at Laurier, York University and University of Waterloo as part of NUMUS Concerts.
As a soloist and founding member of the New Art Quartet, I have commissioned works by Canadians Peter Hatch, Linda Caitlin Smith, William Peltier and John Estacio.
I travel the entire country working with the Royal Conservatory, Kiwanis, Rotary and other festivals. I have adjudicated Contemporary Showcase in Toronto, North Bay, Cambridge, Waterloo and St. Catharines.
I have taught at Wilfrid Laurier and University of Waterloo (skills, theory, pedagogy and piano studio) for more than 32 years.
I am proud to be part of the glue that holds so many seemingly disparate aspects of music training and feel good about the reports we get from past skills students about how this work has directly helped them in their jobs and auditions. To be part of this team of interested and interesting musicians with a similar goal for close to 33 years has been, above all, fun and fulfilling.
