I have had the great privilege to work with many opera organizations across the world such as the Canadian Opera Company, Chicago Opera Theater, Glimmerglass Opera, Opera Atelier, Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, Seattle Opera, Greek National Opera, Vancouver Opera, the Royal Opera (London) in such notable title roles in the operas Orphée et Euridice, Castor et Pollux, and Albert Herring; Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Tonio in La Fille du régiment, Nadir in Les Pêcheurs de perles, and Tom Rakewell in The Rake’s Progress.
An avid supporter of new works, I have appeared in many world premieres including John Estacio’s Lillian Alling, Stuart MacRae’s The Assassin Tree at the Edinburgh International Festival, and has commissioned a song cycle from Derek Holman and a recent commission with the support of Pacific Opera Victora by composer Jeffrey Ryan entitled, Length of a Day.
As a prolific concert singer, I have been invited by symphony orchestras such as the Montreal Symphony, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Music of the Baroque, Mercury Baroque, Les Violons du Roy, Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and the Oregon Bach Festival.
I graduated from the University of Western Ontario and the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s Degree, Artist Diploma and Opera Diploma.
