Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Join Bandology for a fun and exciting March break camp for children ages 7-10 years old, hosted at the Beckett School at Laurier! At March Break Music Camp, kids have fun with hands-on introductory workshops with some cool instruments and participate a wide variety of musical activities, from bucket drumming to body percussion to music composition and everything in between. Campers try out different types of instruments alongside dedicated music mentors. There’s also typical camp games, projects and team-building activities. At the end of the week, campers take part our end-of-week free mini-concert for parents and friends. No musical background is required!
Led by Dave O'Neill, This camp will focus on learning, rehearsing, and performing songs in the rock/blues style. We will also trace a brief but concise history of the birth and development of these music styles. Guitarists, bassists, vocalists, drummers, horns, strings, and those instruments typically not associated with these styles are welcome! A working knowledge of your instrument is required. A PA, piano, and drum set will be provided. All other instruments will need to be supplied by the student, including amplifiers.
