I work to inspire my staff to appreciate the opportunities we have at the university to influence students and to impact the student experience at Laurier.
I am consistently inspired by Laurier students. In my support role, I work with student staff as well as support students with technology. I have worked with students for over 20 years, and I am amazed at their innovation, and their desire to impact the Laurier community and beyond. This past year has also highlighted our student’s resilience and adaptability.
I feel my impact as a leader within the Laurier community is championing client impact of technology changes for both students and staff and faculty. As frontline support I work with my staff to ensure the community is supported to use the technology they need to be successful.
Our ICT Support Team is unique because are the face of ICT to Laurier. Our staff is the first point of contact for ICT, and we are the “connector” between the technical side of IT and the community. I work with an amazing group of dedicated professionals who strive everyday to provide excellent customer service to our clients. I am proud of the work we do and the impact we have on the community.
I feel my career exemplifies my commitment to inspiring lives of leadership and purpose, through the student staff I have managed and mentored. Some of these students continued to work fulltime at Laurier, like Mae Enriquez, T.K Azaglo, Robert Kalbfleish, Shannon Johnston and Melanie Rumanek.
