Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

At Laurier we are known for strong community ties, people-centred innovation, and a drive to make a difference, all of which contribute to an exceptional experience inside the classroom and beyond. As an urban integrated campus, we are inextricably linked to our community neighbours. We value these relationships and take pride in our many collaborative initiatives that benefit the broader community as well as the campus.
Known as the Tournament Capital of Ontario, the City of Brantford has a wide variety of attractions to discover, including paddling, cycling and hiking on the scenic trails along the Grand River, and many arts, culture and heritage sites.
With no shortage of things to do in the community or on campus, there are plenty of opportunities to experience all that Brantford and Laurier has to offer.
The campus experience coordinator proactively bridges campus and community in meaningful ways that contribute to the overall vibrancy of our district in downtown Brantford.
Whether you are a student, university employee, local resident or visitor to campus, your experience matters.
If you have suggestions that can lead to an even more vibrant, engaged Brantford campus, we want to hear from you. Connect with the campus experience coordinator at mybranfordcampus@wlu.ca so we can act on your feedback.
