Look into Laurier

Join us at Laurier

Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

What do you appreciate about Laurier?

The relationships I have with my colleagues is probably my favorite part about working at Laurier. Many of the people I work with have become my friends that I spend off-work hours with too. Having that positive camaraderie here makes a big difference to how much you enjoy your job.

What makes Laurier unique?

I think one of the advantages of attending Laurier as a student or even working here is the personal connections you are able to make. That professor or that person from HR isn’t just a name. At Laurier, our departments and faculty work in collaboration with each other, which makes it more comfortable when you have to approach someone for assistance.

What do you like most about your role?

It might sound like a strange thing to say, but I’m passionate about process improvement. In my role I have the opportunity to improve the workflows, processes and directly impact the efficiency in which things are done. Using my specialty, which is technology, I can try to do my best to improve operations and make everyone’s life easier.
