If you are an international applicant, the following information answers important questions you may have about our English-proficiency requirements, international student fees and financial aid. You can find information about sponsorships in Step 2 and study permits in Step 3.
Proficiency in usage, both written and oral, is essential to pursuing graduate studies at Laurier. If your undergraduate degree was taught in a language other than English, you must provide evidence of English proficiency prior to admission.
If your previous degree was completed in a different country, but the language of instruction was English, you do not need to complete an English proficiency test. Instead, you will need to provide an official letter from your prior institution indicating that the degree was completed in English. This letter can be uploaded to our system along with your other supplemental documents (See Step 2).
Laurier accepts the following English language proficiency tests and scores. Please note that individual programs may have additional language requirements. It is your responsibility to determine if there are additional requirements and to fulfil them.
These tests are offered in Canada, the United States and many other countries. You are responsible for having the test results sent to Laurier in time for admission.
Understanding the cost of graduate studies is an important part of your decision to apply for a graduate degree program at Laurier. Learn more about our international tuition and fees.
