Sup future Golden Hawks? My name is Hillary and I am so excited to be one of the first people to welcome you to the Laurier family! I am so excited that you have taken an interest in attending Laurier, and I can't wait to share my love for Laurier with you on your campus tour!

Laurier is a truly one of a kind place, and I feel so fortunate to have had the chance to live and learn here. While here I have taken every opportunity to become an involved member of the Laurier community through; volunteering for the Laurier Student Food Bank, working as theVice President of Promotions for Charity Ball, welcoming new members of the Laurier Family through volunteering during Orientation Week, representing my program as a member of the Archaeology Society, staying active through being both an Intramural Team Captain and Team Member, and even unleashing my nerdy side as a member of the Laurier Comic Book Association! There really is something for everyone here, and I hope that you're able to find something to inspire you during your time at Laurier like I have!

Aside fromextracurricular experiences,Laurier has also given me countless one of a kind academic experiences. In the summer of 2013 I was invited by one of my professors to travel to Jordan with her and two other students for 7 weeks to work on the Tell Madaba Archaeological Project. During this project I was able to explore my interests in the history of the area, as well as develop practical skills that I use everyday in the classroom! My professor even took my own personal interests to heart during this project and arranged for me to complete a small internship-like experience with a local Jordanian museum, as she knows I am interested in pursuing museum work in the future! It's experiences and attention to detail like this that you find are the norm at Laurier!
