Applying to the Program
MSc in Integrative Biology
Applicants to the program should hold an undergraduate honours degree or equivalent in biology or a related discipline. To be considered for the program applicants must have obtained a minimum of a B average over their last two years of study. Admission to the program is contingent on the commitment of a faculty member to serve as thesis supervisor. Applicants should contact one or more faculty members to discuss the prospects of joining their research lab before applying to the program.
Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential to graduate studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. Applicants whose first language is not English and who have not completed an undergraduate or graduate degree at an institution where English is the language of instruction are required to provide evidence of English language proficiency.
Applications are reviewed by the Graduate Studies Committee, which considers all prior university grades, letters of reference, and indications of support from potential supervisors.
Applications are considered on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Ideally, applicants should contact potential supervisors before the end of March about graduate opportunities for May or September entry dates.
Applications may be submitted electronically by following the online application guidelines outlined by the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Please remember to submit a hard copy of your application package to the Biology Department (to the attention of the Graduate Administrative Assistant).
