Required Documents

Once you receive your Offer of Admission letter, it is very important that you read it carefully to ensure that you meet the conditions of your offer. The deadline to have all official, final documents to the International Recruitment and Admission Office is August 15, 2013 for September 2013 start, unless otherwise stated on your Offer of Admission letter. Please contact to communicate when your documents should be arriving as your offer of admission may be rescinded if documentation is not received by the deadline.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts, in English, are required from all previously attended secondary and post-secondary schools. Transcripts should be mailed directly to Laurier's Admissions Office from the issuing institution. If you are currently completing courses, send a transcript showing your course enrolment and grades to date as soon as you apply, and then an updated transcript at the end of your semester. We can make decisions based on scans, if you receive and choose to accept an official from Laurier you will have to have official documentation sent to us by the outlined deadline on your offer.

Transcripts must be up-to-date and bear the seal or stamp of the institution.  If original documents are written in a language other than English, you must provide notarized literal translations.

Your transcripts must come to the Admissions Office at Laurier.  DO NOT send them to the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC). You can send your transcripts to us at the same time you send your application to OUAC and we will keep your transcripts on file until we receive your application.

Official Course Descriptions

If you have previously attended a post-secondary institution and are seeking transfer credit, you must send official detailed course descriptions for all courses taken at the college and/or university.  Acceptable types of course descriptions include:
• a course calendar/catalogue from the university or college you attended
• a photocopy of the relevant pages from a course calendar/catalogue (please include a copy of the front cover)
• the URL from the institution’s web site that contain the course descriptions (the web address must indicate the name of the institution)
• a faxed copy of any of the above
• a faxed or mailed copy of the course outlines (syllabi) sent directly from the institution in a sealed envelope
• an email attachment containing the course descriptions, sent directly from the institution

Once you have applied to Laurier, you will receive an email with your LORIS account login which will allow you to view your application status online. If you have not heard from us, please let us know and we will re-send your confirmation. You can reach us at or by calling 519.884.0710 x2698.

To ensure you receive our emails, please add to your address book or 'safe sender' list in your email account, as we will be communicating with you over the next few months on important deadlines and registration information.

When official documents are received by the Admissions Office, they will be posted to your ONLINE VIEWING account (please allow adequate time for mail delivery).  ONLINE VIEWING will show you when your documents have been receiving, and what documents are pending.
