Research Project on Twice-Exceptional Students
Dean Willard-Holt and three M.Ed. students (in alphabetical order, Julia Horgan, Kristen Morrison, and Jessica Weber) are conducting a study on the perspectives of twice-exceptional learners on schooling and instructional strategies. Twice-exceptional (2e) students are gifted but also have some additional exceptionality (e.g., learning disabilities, Aspergerís syndrome, deafness, and many others). The study considers strategies that are thought to be of help to 2e students in grades 7-12 or university. Has the strategy been used, and has it been beneficial? Part one of the study includes an online survey, while part two consists of an interview (ideally, face to face). If you or someone you know fits the description of a 2e learner and is interested in participating, please contact Dean Willard-Holt at firstname.lastname@example.org .
