Graduate Enhancement Fund
Funded directly through the generosity of our graduate students, the Graduate Enhancement Fund (GEF) supports special one-time projects that enhance the graduate student experience across all of our campuses. Specifically, the GEF looks to support projects that fall within one of the following areas:
a. Space, equipment and furnishings for graduate students
b. Technology for graduate students
c. Resources for graduate students
d. Graduate student funding (scholarships, bursaries and awards)
e. Out-of-classroom academics (conferences, etc.)
The GEF has been supporting projects since 1995 at a total value of approximately $1.6M. To view some of the past projects, please click here.
Please keep the following in mind when preparing your application:
• The GEF does not fund projects on an on-going basis so the request should be for one-time funding only.
• The GEF rarely approves projects that require salary. If salary is a component, it must be for a limited time during the start-up phase of the project and the budget must show financial sustainability.
• The committee appreciates those projects that have demonstrated collaboration with other partners/departments on campus.
• The committee prefers those projects that have an impact on a large percentage of the graduate student population.
