Emotionally Focused Therapy Core Skills Advanced Training
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Core Skills Advanced Training sessions are offered by a certified EFT Trainer at the Waterloo Lutheran Seminary (Wilfrid Laurier University).
The Emotionally Focused Therapy Core Skills Advanced Training course consists of small groups (maximum 15 people) learning the skills essential to the practice of EFT. The training typically takes place over four two-day events, held every three to four months over a one-year period. When you sign up for the first module, you are required to commit to attending all four workshops throughout the year.
Each weekend provides 12 hours of training which includes:
- practical instruction
- experiential exercises
- video examples
- case consultation and live sessions
Core Skills Advanced Training is one option available towards partially meeting the certification requirements in EFT. Attendance qualifies participants for Advanced Externship designation with 48 hours of group supervision (CEUs provided by Waterloo Lutheran Seminary, which can be applied to EFT registration).
You are required to have completed either an EFT
Externship or course TH668I prior to enrolling in the Core Skills
Advanced Training session; you need to be willing to present your work
through videotape presentation.
