Tri-Council Policy Statement 2 - On-Line Tutorial
Beginning March 2013 all Laurier investigators listed on an REB application are required to complete the TCPS 2 online ethics tutorial and submit the certificate(s) of completion with their REB application.
The Tri-Council Policy Statement 2: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS2) describes principles, standards and procedures for governing research involving human participants and is the basis for the review by the Research Ethics Board and departmental ethics review committees at WLU of projects using human participants. The Panel on Research Ethics has created a tutorial for the TCPS 2 to educate the research community about the TCPS 2. The tutorial also facilitates the use, interpretation and implementation of the TCPS 2.
- All investigators listed on an REB application are required to complete the tutorial and submit the certificate(s) of completion with their ethics application.
- All members of the university community who are involved in research involving humans are encouraged to go on-line and work through the tutorial.
