Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence
Formerly known as the Outstanding Teacher Award, the WLU Award of Teaching Excellence recognizes one full-time faculty member and one part-time CAS member each year. This award is presented at convocation at which time a citation is read and the recipient is honoured.

Milne tries to relate to students on an individual basis and considers how that student wants and needs to learn.

Duane Heide is known for his outstanding small-group teaching, curriculum development and an integrated teaching style. Heide uses a hands-on approach providing students a chance to use math manipulatives: blocks and volume containers to engage with the material.
