Client Procedures

Microsoft Access is no longer part of the standard Laurier computer image for new computers. If you require Microsoft Access for development of new databases then follow the process below:

To obtain Microsoft Access please fill out a Project Request via the ITS Service Desk Customer Portal at the following link https://itservicedesk.wlu.ca/wluvsm/?LITE . The Manager, Enterprise Solutions will work with you to determine your requirements and the suitability of Microsoft Access. If it is determined that Microsoft Access is the appropriate tool for your requirements, then the Manager Enterprise Solutions will forward your project request to the Employee Service Desk who will ensure that ITS installs this application on your computer. It is important to note that Microsoft Access will be installed with the understanding that you are solely responsible for the development and support of any databases you create. ITS will not support home grown Access databases.

Client Expectations

Clients are solely responsible for development and support of Access databases. ITS will not support home grown Access databases.

*Please Note:
