Information for Family & Friends
Planning your day:
Spring Convocation 2015 Waterloo campus ceremonies will take place from June 8th - 12th.
Confirm with your graduate the date and time of their ceremony.
If you are from out of town, the Waterloo Region's Where To Stay page has a list of available accommodations for you to explore.
Arriving at the ceremony
Parking will be available free of charge at Wilfrid Laurier University, though we do recommend carpooling as space will be limited.
The doors will open one hour prior to the ceremony start time for guests to select their seats.
If applicable, guests will be required to show their tickets in order to enter. Please confirm with your graduate if their ceremony requires tickets.
Photographs at the ceremony
There will be a designated area for family and friends to take photographs.
A photographer from GradImages will be taking on-stage photos of all the graduates. Grads will receive an e-mail link to view and purchase proofs within a month of the ceremony.
Candid photos from the ceremonies will be accessible on our Flickr page in late June.
Convocation is a public event and photographers will be taking photos. By entering this area, you consent to having your photograph taken. Event photos and video may be used in print or online communications, including the Laurier website. If you would not like to have your photograph taken, please inform the photographer. If you have any questions, please contact Ceremonies and Events at firstname.lastname@example.org.
