Journalism allows for more practical training, hands on experience with Conestoga College

May 6/09

Laurier Brantford continues to form unique partnerships with local colleges. The latest agreement with Conestoga College will allow journalism students to receive practical training in their chosen area of study, and graduate with an Honours BA from Laurier Brantford and a post-graduate certificate from Conestoga, all in four years.

In year three, students in the Broadcast Journalism, Public Relations, and Emerging Journalism and New Media concentrations apply to Conestoga College and enroll in their respective one-year graduate certificate program.  They are:  Videography-Broadcast Journalism/Documentary; Integrated Marketing Communications; or New Media: Convergence.  These programs are offered by Conestoga in Kitchener.  Students who take their third year at Conestoga return to Laurier for year four of their BA.
